We have students who may have special needs. It would be great if I had the ability to email all of a student's instructors for a given semester. Some times a student will call with a family emergency and we need to notify all of their instructors.

This sounds great! Additionally, it'd be great to be able to quickly access a student's daily schedule, in the event that they need to be located for such emergencies. The export schedule function does this in a roundabout way. Perhaps this is really an issue of presenting information for visual types. It'd be nice to access the student's daily schedule in Populi, rather than downloading a PDF or XLS.
Anyway, I dig the idea of being able to quickly contact student's instructors; this prevents confidential details from going out to the entire faculty and facilitates a quick notification for the instructors. For what it's worth, it has my vote.
I agree completely. It's currently a bit cumbersome to communicate with the instructors of our special needs students, and an "email student's instructors" would be simply amazing. I hope it can be incorporated!

@Robert - you might want to make another thread about the schedule thing so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
There is now an Email Faculty link under student's pictures on their profile, allowing you to quickly get in touch a particular student's teachers.
I love the Email Faculty function, but there is a problem we've just found. When I sent an email to the student's faculty to notify them that I need semester grades early because that student is graduating or is being considered for a GPA based award, the email went to this Spring semester's faculty as well as the faculty for the Fall Semester. We've begun early registration, so the student actually has 2 "active" semesters at the same time. It would be helpful to indicate (by current semester?) which group of faculty should receive the message.

We would have the same problem (of two "active" terms), but we could really use the feature for notifying faculty for getting grades early.
@Patty - I would encourage you to submit a new feature request regarding this change to the Email Faculty function since this one is already marked "Done".
