We had looked forward to the ability to manage rooms/resources through Populi. The fact that it does not prevent double booking limits drastically the benefit of this part of the software. We need it not to tell us a room is available when it is not.

Elizabeth Reed Yes the ability to see if a room is already booked is essential when scheduling a new term. It is a major drawback in Populi.
As a work-around I have been using the calendaring feature in Google Apps Education edition to schedule our terms as it allows an admin to create a calendar for each Resource (room, equipment, etc) and can be set to decline any overlapping "invitations". It also allows you to search for a workable time.

Emily Minnema I agree 100% on this. If we could have the same feature that notifies you when a students schedule has a conflict, that would be amazing. I know everyone has to figure out a way to schedule classes and having this as a feature would help us out a ton!

Lee Richards It would also be helpful if total course enrollment would run a check against the room capacity so that it would be evident if a class was growing too large for the planned location.
