Not everyone is happy about being followed. The notifications have been getting on some people's nerves, too. It would be nice for each user to choose to hide his or her bulletin board.

Adam Sentz The Bulletin Board is intended for public communication. Following doesn't change what anyone can see; it just allows users to decide who's posts they'd like to see in their feed.
If people don't want to see the notifications they can set up a rule in their email client to automatically delete them.

Daniel Peterson I agree with this feature as it seems a lot simpler for most people to disable notifications in Populi than to set up a rule in their email client. I and most of the other computer literate people I work with are able to create a filter but there is a large population who has no idea what a email filter is. This includes most of our teachers and leadership team at the school (i.e. the people most likely to be followed)
