The data slicer is missing some crucial fields, notably Student ID, and Roles. We need to be able to run queries for specific roles, and one of the fields we need to display is Student ID. :-) I'm sure there are other fields but those are the top two pain points for us.

Jeremiah Miller Here's another field that needs to be added to the Data Slicer: "In Progress Term GPA".
Currently you can use "Term GPA", which only shows the GPA for historical, finalized courses. However, we want to be able to see term GPAs for an in-progress term (like you can with the Enrollments XLS export from the Students table), so that our staff can see how students are doing as the term progresses.

Lisa Purdey Ditto that, Patrick. Usually I like to plan my recruitment trips around where we have prospective students so this would be extremely useful. I see I can filter them by the Prospect Info under the Admissions tab, but there is no way to sort them by geographical location. A data slicer for that would be great...the sooner the better :)

Christal Fehr Can't find the student id in the data slicer... is it called something different?
Also, just to clarify, there still isn't a way to find "in progress" GPA is there? It looks like you can only find GPA for courses that are finalized. There's no way to check on how a student is doing mid-semester... not sure if that's what Jeremiah was asking at the beginning of this thread.

Looking the list back over, it's clear that there's more that aren't yet included. I shouldn't have marked this as Done, and I'm sorry for misleading y'all. It's challenging to get requests like this out of limbo because people request a wide variety of fields. Suffice it to say that we're planning more work on the Data Slicer and we're going to keep requests like this in mind as we do.

Brendan O'Donnell Oh, you can get in-progress GPA's from the Enrollment export in Academics > Term > Courses... provided the student has at least one graded assignment in a given course.

Christal Fehr Thanks Brendan... but alas, I'm still having trouble finding the in-progress GPAs... pardon my ignorance... the export only gives me rosters and xls (which doesn't have GPAs). Am I missing something? It is Friday... perhaps that's my problem :S.

Christal Fehr Found another interesting thing in the data slicer. There is a home state option, however, in the data slicer the options are defaulted to the US states... quite useless for us here in Canada. We do fill in our home state (or province) details, but it's impossible to sort them in the data slicer. Also, no way to find home city. Home Country mostly works for us... would just love a way to sort out the blank ones.
