We need the ability to use any Populi field in our email and letter templates.
For example, we use custom prospective fields to store information about our "Discovery Days" campus event, in which prospective students come to campus for a few days, stay in a dorm room, and attend classes. The custom fields list their host person, their room number, and the date of the event they are coming to. We need to be able to print letters that insert this information.
Ideally, we should be able to use any Populi field as a variable.
