Our office is trying to go paperless and something that would help us do that with greater ease would be to have an interface in populi for scanning. Right now we have to scan a document, save it as a PDF on our computer, go to the student's file, click on the tab that corresponds, click add/edit, find the field, and then upload the file.
There are two things that I'd love to see: 1) As a start, whenever a field is a file, there would be the option to not only upload a file, but to scan a file (twain interface... similar to how Populi interfaces with the webcam); and 2) Develop a scan center in Populi so that people can batch upload or scan and then assign those documents to certain student's files in a table view (see attached diagram).
