Students are currently able to view their grades for assignments in the portal but it would be very helpful for faculty or administrators to be able to print-out a report for each student. This is helpful when counseling a student.

Joel Wingo A complete progress report for each student would be very helpful. Each semester we try to take note of students who are doing poorly overall so that we can meet with them and try to help them. It would be great to be able to print out a progress report for the student that includes the following information:
1. A list of their current courses with their attendance information (absences and tardies with dates) for each course.
2. A list of the assignments and grades for each course.
This would really help us have a bird's eye view of how the student is doing so we can better serve him or her.

Clarissa Marin Is Populi considering making this change? We are spending a lot of time trying to pull this information to track student performance. Any updates?
-
Adam Sentz @Clarissa - If we are working on, or committed to implementing a feature we'll mark it Planned here in the forum.

Bret Saunders Just wanted to put in my vote for a "Report" tool in which I could print out students progress and give comments mid-semester.
-
Nancy Butler We need progress grade reports also. Now I have to cut and paste from the excel spreadsheet. With over 200 students, that's a tedious and long process.

Sam Dean Progress & semester grade reports would be very useful.

Alma D. Alvarado I just noticed this request from '10. It's similar to the one at https://support.populiweb.com/entries/27829778-Quantitative-Success-Indicators.
Looking forward to see this rolled out.

Matt Grahek Some mechanism is needed to take a mid term snapshot of grades/performance. Even if the students can print an In Progress transcript/grade report with an "As of" date stamp. An entire term is too long to go without being able to monitor teacher grading, student performance, etc. in individual reports.

Lindsay Hallam Agreed! Many of our students need printed official grade reports for internships during the summer. The unofficial transcripts show IP and grade reports are only available for finalized courses. Sending companies an excel spreadsheet of current grades just isn't enough.

Adam Sentz @All - Just looking over this request. It seems like a lot of this might be solved by the new Advising features. Are there other specific needs in this area that Advising doesn't meet?
-
Clarissa Marin The new advising features have helped! The only thing it doesn't do is exporting a print out with more assignment details. The adviser or teacher still needs to email or write down details for the student when they are meeting. It does export attendance details per student but not assignment info.

Adam Sentz @Clarissa - It occurs to me that a lot of what you're looking to do here can probably be handled via the course student page you can access by clicking a student's name on the roster. Faculty and Advisers ought to be able to bring up everything they need to without showing data from other students. Are there areas where it's still a challenge to track student performance?

Lisa Brown @adam I need to be able to check all of my students' course grades. It would be extremely helpful if we could see every students' individual grades and assignments for every course. I am the school's at-risk coordinator, and I need a print-out of grades, assignment, attendance for each course and each student. Is this possible??? Not sure what I will do, if I can't do this! Help!
-
Adam Sentz @Lisa - Academics > Reporting > Enrollments will get you every student with their course grade and attendance, but not every assignment grade. You can also do all kinds of attendance reporting in Academics > Reporting > Attendance. I think what you might find really useful is the Avising tab where you can actually set up thresholds for attendance and grades to automatically flag potentially at-risk students. If you remove the default filter that just shows your advisees you'll be able to see all students there. I'd recommend checking out those areas, and if you have more detailed questions or need any other help send us a support request and we'll see what we can do.

Toby Robinson Populi now has a Term Progress tab on the Advisee page. You can see all of the student's current courses with summary data as well as all entered attendance and grade data.

Clarissa Marin My love for Populi just grew. Thank you!
