Essay Questions: Freely Assign Partial Credit

Greetings,

Is there any particular reason why professors cannot assign partial credit to essay questions other than in 25% increments? For example a 20 point essay can be assigned a grade of 20, 15, 10, or 5 points, but the student's answer may merit an 18 or 17 point credit, which currently the program does not seem allow. If you can help, that would be great.

  Hi Richard,

  Professors can already freely assign partial credit. The 25% increment radio buttons are there for convenience, but professors are free to enter any point value they like in the points input just to the left of them.
