Would it be possible to use Populi to track non-academic graduation requirements? We track students' student life requirements currently in programs outside Populi. We would like to use the academic course function in the system to allow students to sign up for specific required student life events/requirements without having those things show up on the transcript. Some examples: chapel attendance, church attendance, signing up for student life activities throughout the semester, etc. Populi would be of great help with these things!

I just wanted to follow up on our need in this are. Basically, we need to set up two additional requirements under the Requirements menu for the Degree Audits.
Where it lists:
Cumulative GPA
Cumulative Units
Resident Units
We need to add Community Service requirements and Lecture Series requirements.
These are required to fulfill degree requirements, but they are not courses. They have a value of 0.0 credit hours. It is very important that we track this with accuracy. Each Semester they are required to do so many hours of community service. The number of hours needs to be tracked in their profile under the degree audit. Also we require that they attend a lecture series each semester. Also needs to be tracked.

Marie Nuar And to us. We have co-curricular requirements for courses. Right now there is no way to add non academic requirements to degrees.

We had a related issue in setting up program requirements for Teacher Licensure (state tests, student teaching hours, etc.). Although we have not solved this yet in Populi, setting up a Program for your Certificate might be an option.
