We have some courses and internships that do not fit easily into "Pass/Fail" or "A/B/C/D/F" grading scales. In our old SIS we were able to grade "Excellent", "Satisfactory", "Needs Improvement", or "Fail".
Can we add this option to Populi?

More information based on some additional questions from Populi:
Courses graded in this way should be granted credit. If they receive Excellent (E), Satisfactory (S), or Needs Improvement (N) they need credit for the course, but if they receive a Fail, they should not receive credit.
From a transcript perspective, these courses are exactly the same as a pass/fail course, only with the option to "qualify" the passing grade. If they receive an E,S,or N, they would get full credit for the course, but as with regular pass/fail courses, it would not become part of the GPA calculation.
Basically, I can think of two options that would work for us:
1. Add a feature to pass/fail courses that allowed you to qualify the passing grade, either with a comment field that showed up on the transcript, or just adding more options besides "Pass". For example "Pass-Excellent", "Pass-Satisfactory", "Pass-Needs Improvement", or "Fail".
2. Add additional options to the A,B,C grade scale in the Academics tab that allowed us to add additional grades and specify whether these grades counted in the GPA calculation or not. Essentially, we would want to add grades that had no numeric equivalent, gave them credit for the course, but did not count in the GPA calculation.
I concur, in order to finish our program we has and oral exam and a thesis. It would be great if I could give students a pass/fail.
