It would solve a lot of confusion and save time for us and student if they could back order books that are out of stock. They could hit to show all books for courses. The cart to list those in stock and their could be a button that said "back order all books not in stock"
This would help us know how many to re-order too. I

I think this make sense, too. Seems to me that you'd want to be able to control whether an item was back-orderable or not as certain items might really have a finite supply. Does that make sense?

This would be tremendously helpful so we don't have to have record back orders on paper.
This would make the process so much easier and allow us to have appropriate inventory reports instead of leaving all our quanitities null
