Currently faculty can finalize a course with empty assignment grades. It would helpful if faculty wouldn't be able to finalize a grade without filling in all the grades for a particular course. At least have a warning or check that they would have to click through alerting them that there is a missing grade in the gradebook.

Brendan O'Donnell Patrick,
We do have a checkbox on the Finalize Course page saying "Check to certify that the above table is complete and accurate." Are you looking for something more than that?

Patrick Friesen What I was thinking was that when they attempt to finalize that the software will alert them to an empty field in the table.

Adam Sentz @Patrick - The way it works now, a blank grade is actually a valid input (it isn't counted in the grade calculation). So it's assumed that was the instructor's intention. Maybe a simple notice on the Finalize Course page e.g. "7 assignment grades have been left blank" would do the trick?

Patrick Friesen Yes, I believe that would be good.

Toby Robinson When you finalize a course Populi will now warn you if there are ungraded assignments.

Patrick Friesen Yes, thank-you very much. This is precisely what we were looking for.
