We would love to use Populi for our exit surveys. We currently use Survey Monkey with a fixed set of questions, some narrative, some multiple choice (or scale of 1-5), so we can track year to year.
All students who do not return and are not under discipline are asked to submit an exit survey. It would be nice to have a trigger, like inactivating the student, that sends the survey to them.

I really like this idea! We also have an exit survey.
We have a number of surveys that we currently use (new student survey and exit survey are the main ones)... would love to see this built into Populi in some way. Perhaps using the same functionality as the course evaluation surveys that are currently being planned? I love the way Populi does reporting with all the charts and graphs and such and would really love to do surveys using some of those types of things that Populi already does so well.
We too could use a survey feature--not just for exit surveys, but also for other surveys within courses. It would be great if there was a "survey" assignment type, similar to an exam in that we could set specific questions, but with grading based simply on completion, not right or wrong answers.

We need an exit survey and an Alumni survey too. We have one on paper. Can Populi support one?
Since my earlier post above, we have found a solution by using Google Forms for all surveys that we need to administer on campus. Since Populi integrates with Google Apps for Education, our students can easily access the survey forms using their existing Populi accounts. It might be a little redundant to duplicate this same feature within Populi itself, but perhaps if Populi could integrate more closely with Google Forms it might streamline things a little.
We currently use Populi for our Entrance and Exit Surveys and Bible Content Tests but we create these surveys as evaluations and make courses to which we link the evaluations. It would be much more beneficial if we could create surveys/tests through Populi and be able send them to specific students, rather than enrolling them in a "fake" course.
An exit survey would be a great addition!

I agree with all the above. ABHE accreditation requires certain assessments that could be accomplished through exit surveys, and, entrance surveys. Until this happens, I, like my other colleagues have to create a "fake course" to attach these assessment questions to the course. The only issue is that if they are a graduate, then we have to enroll them in a current term and be billed by Populi for the student for one fake course to accomplish an assessment. Entrance and Exit surveys are important for accreditation and assessment.
We too have had to create fake classes so that we could have students evaluate their program and program outcomes. Every year I have to create these fake classes, enroll the students who are graduating, unenroll students, and then delete the fake class off their record. Lots of extra work.
A means to survey students distinct from a course assignment would be quite useful for us as well.
