Would there be a way to set holidays and other non-class days (eg. a day of prayer, Spring break, etc) in either the calendar or the Academic Term info so that classes don't show up on those days? This would help the course schedule be more accurate, and also impact things like attendance taking.

It would be helpful to be able to do this at the Academic Term level rather than having to delete the event for each course.
I agree... I've just spent a long time going into each class to delete all the "holiday" classes. A term setting for holidays would be magnificent.

This is exactly what we would like: to set up vacation times and holidays for all classes at once, in the middle of the semester
It would really help with our accrediting bodies as well so that they can see why the day has been deleted. The explanation would appear and also the students will not have an absence.
@Naquanda - Students do not receive an absence unless their instructor explicitly records one. If attendance is not take for a meeting time that meeting is not factored in.
Along these lines, is there a way to list a class as cancelled? For official attendance records (Fed Funding), it is important to accurately mark attendance, but if a class is cancelled, there doesn't neem to be a way to note that in attendance. It would be a great menu option when taking attendance, unless there is another way that I overlooked.

I agree w/ David's suggestion and am happy to see a suggestion has already been put in for this.
School wide closures can now be set by academic year. Course scheduling will skip meeting times that fall on days the school is closed.
Toby.. Are you saying that we can set-up holidays/closures in Populi? If so, where?
@Clarissa - Closures can be set up for an academic year in Academics > Settings > Academic Years > the year you want to add closures to.
