Could Populi create a setting that would prevent items from being due when the library is closed?
For example, our library isn't open on the weekends, so no one will be here to check-in items on Saturday or Sunday.

It would be even better if the library's hours (rather than just days) could be entered in the catalog, so that something like our reserve materials that only check out for an hour at a time would not come due after we close for the day, but would be due the next morning.
This would be great! I'm currently the only librarian so the library is closed weekends. If a student has a book that's due on Sunday they would have to turn it in Friday, which means they don't get to use it during the full loan period.
While the grace period in the library settings can be used to work around a weekend closure, this would still be nice for longer breaks like Christmas.
Several of my students have already been telling me that they are being charged overdue fines because there isn't anyone in the library to check in those books. This feature would be incredibly helpful!
Would like to be able to do this without having to change the number of days on each loan period when a vacation approaches.
You can now add hours of operation by library in settings->libraries. The new library calendar tab also allows you to add unique closing times.
