In my student role, I was processing our Application for Admission's component that I created. I purposefully did not enter data in a field I kept as required (not optional).
When I clicked the submit button, it looked like nothing happened. The reason why was because this component has so many fields in it that the required fields did not show up on the screen's field of vision; hence the red notices are only seen if they have the instinct to scroll up. My sense is that most of them will not have this instinct but, instead, will keep pressing submit until their component disappears.
We want to make this as frustration free as possible for the users and hope you can help in this.
Question: when a component is submitted, can a popup dialog box appear to the user to let them know the status of their component? (Kind of like when they fill out the application from our website they get a popup dialog box letting them know to check their junk mail) Letting them know that it has been successfully submitted or they need to complete the required fields?
