Populi needs have the abilty to import tests from the testing data banks that are avilable with most text books. With all the work already done and the modern technological abilities available, one should not have to retype each and every question that is used in a course. The data banks all have the ability to be linked with other Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard or Moodle, This is really needed here. For example, my text book is linked to: www.respondus.com. Another testing example is EZ test on line. Both of these allow the user to prepare tests from hundreds of choices of questions that are already written and then export the tests to the testing site. Please check them out. Thank you.

Paul STUDENT Any updates on this? It is time consuming for faculty to enter question by question.

Gerry Woodworth I agree. I know that there are more import options available now, but they don't work as well as I would like.
I mainly use TestGen from my main publishers, and it has the option to export in a number of formats. Populi has the option to import QTI test banks, so I used that option in TestGen to export my quiz. But when I imported the test bank, I got import errors for every question.
I got curious and tried exporting in other format options from TestGen that had the same .zip file extension. Two of them worked, but one just imported the quiz as a document, not individual questions. It would be nice if there was more support for multiple test banks, or at least for the QTI banks to work better. And it would be helpful to have more thorough help topics on importing test banks from publishers in general.
