Library Reports (Ability to Export Library Reports for print)

It would be of great benfit to be able to export various reports from your library. This would allow for manual book checks, data integrity verification, lots of work for summer students!) 

Seferal Reports that we are in need of are...

1) Export our entire collection in various orders. Most importantly being in order of bar code so that our librarian can do a book check each year but also in alphabetical for other resource search options. (also being able to export in a compact list would be of great benefit when working with tens of thousands of volumes)

2) Export Lost/Damaged books so they can be searched for and replaced if necessary. 

3) Export circulation, past circulation data, loan periods and  so manual checks can be made 

I think these options would be of great benefit to the library aspect of the program.

  I agree with Damien-the circulation reports are essential for those of us who are accredited by TRACS.  TRACS requires that the library provide proof of use.

  The following is one of a series of recomondations provided by an auditor who recently reviewed our library. 

  <It seems to keep a history of books returned under each borrower’s account along with the date

  returned. This should make it relatively simple for them to code a report of some kind that collects a

  list of titles returned and return date(s). If set up so it can be exported to Excel it would make it easy to

  manipulate the data for various purposes. This would help you see total circulation in a specific period

  of time (for ABHE stats), and see which titles are being used to determine how the library is being used

  (and what’s not being used).>

  Hi Damien, Seth,

  I believe this feature request was written before we added some functionality to browse resources and circulation reporting.  How are things looking now?  Are there still important bits of information it's hard to get?

  Reports like this are a great help when it comes time for accreditation re-affirmation.  The more reports we can generate, the easier it is to go through the -re-accreditation process.

  Hi Robert,

  I believe that this feature request was completed in 2012 - we now have the ability to export your entire catalog (or filtered parts of it), in MARC or CSV.  We also have circulation reporting by loan, resource, etc.

  So I'll go ahead and mark this feature request "done" - but feel free to open a new feature request if there are additional reports that would be helpful.
