Thanks for your help. If I send you a blank copy of the ABHE report, do
you think your designers would review it to see if reports could/should be
written to help your ABHE schools manage/report the data. I think the info
they want is all within Populi, but is sometimes not so easy to find.
I'm not sure how many ABHE schools there are or how many are your
customers, but this type of reporting would certainly give Populi a
competitive edge

We're actually working today on adding the average GPA component of the ABHE report into Populi - and I'd love a copy of the report to see what else we could add.
On that note, which questions were most difficult for you guys to answer using data from Populi?

I've attached a copy of our last year's report. I included a number of sections that might be doable in Populi, but most important ones for us would be sections 2 & 3.
One difficult question that I can think of off the top of my head is III.A. New Student Enrollment. I'm planning to work on these stats this afternoon, so I may comment on a few more later on.
I think that most of these stats are very doable using reports I've set up and exporting to excel and manipulating the data there. My thought was to make it even easier and have some pre-set up stats as you've done with IPEDS. That would be a huge WOW!!!
Thanks, Christal! And in an hour or two the first chunk we're doing (the Average GPA) should go live. I'm curious if our calculations match yours - this will be a good double-check on what we're doing.
Okay, y'all: you can now find the Average GPA calculation in Academics > Reporting > Preset > ABHE.
And I'm going to spend some time today seeing what other chunks of the report we can produce.
This is wonderful guys. Making it much easier for us to do the reporting.

I'm working on adding III.A. New Student Enrollment right now... are there any other instructions on this chunk of the report you can send me? I've asked ABHE for report instructions, but they apparently don't have them available outside of the online report itself (which I don't have access to).
Also, if you could describe how you produced this chunk last year (e.g. I found "new students" by looking up X and "transfer students" by looking at Y) that would be good - I'd like to make sure I'm following a similar methodology.

Hold off on your work with New Student Enrollment. ABHE has completely changed their report, and this is one section that is much simpler now. I've attached a copy of what we need for New Student Enrollment now. And I'll get you more screen shots with some of the other reports very soon. So, ignore my initial attachment. Much has changed since then. However, the GPA part that you've already done is staying the same, so hopefully not much of your work has been in vain thus far :(. So sorry that we just discovered this now.

As for the Average GPA question, I never did figure out an easy enough way to pull that from Populi, so, sorry, but I won't try to figure that out just to verify it's done correctly. I'll just trust you on that one :). I did check what I could see of your math against the ABHE instructions. My one comment... I got 2.926... and personally would have rounded that up to 2.93 whereas you have 2.92.
I've attached screen shots of all the ABHE reports to replace what I sent you initially. I've also included the numbers I've calculated in case that helps at all with verifying accuracy (at least on the ones I've completed thus far).

I don't see any progress in this; we would certainly be a school that would benefit from having the ABHE report fleshed out in Populi; especially the Enrollment and Outcomes sections.

We'd be happy to take a look and see how hard those would be to add (and I'm hearing people say they'd like a library component, as well). The tricky part here is that we don't have access to the report or its instructions, and it changes frequently: so would you mind sending screenshots (or a PDF, if they publish it) of the current ABHE report to support@populiweb.com? In particular, I'd be interested in the instructions for how to calculate each data point...
