Back when we used Moodle, we had the option of making a forum that proved to be extremely useful. It was a single-thread forum where no student could see what any other student had posted until they posted something themselves. This gave the double benefit of students being able to post something without borrowing from the others; and at the same time, being able to benefit from reading every one else's contribution. Would be a great addition to already great software.

John Coumerilh We are currently migrating from Moodle to Populi. The "Discussion" are what we are using for that same thing EXCEPT it lacks that one feature that would be wonderful, where the instructor is able to unlock a students access to other student's comment after reading the student's comment on that topic. Like Moodle does. Chris, you are right.

Rev. Amie Gardner I also work with ANGEL that has this feature for discussion forums, so it really would help greatly...voted!

Rev. Amie Gardner This was my original post (now closed) ... https://support.populiweb.com/entries/22214262
Populi is wonderful thus far so this would truly be icing on the cake...

Jonathon Beeke What would also be "icing" upon the icing of the already good cake is if discussions could be shared within courses of the same semester. We distinguish online students from on-campus students by placing them within a different course, and yet it would be great if both types of students could share in the same discussion.

Adam Sentz Populi Discussions now have a "Post First" setting along with a whole host of other improvements.
