In Canad only the funds that are owed to the college are sent to us. The balance of the award is sent to the student. For example a student is awarded $5,000 student loan. He owes us $3,000. I go online and have $3,000 deposited into our account and the remaining 2k gets deposited into the student account eliminated the need for us to issue a refund cheque like USA aid.
It would be great if somehow I could show on the financial aid awards page the amount that was dispersed to the college and what was dispersed directly to the student.
