We'd like to run lists of our Alumni and be able to sort them by their graduation date. The current way to run a list is using the Data slicer by "exit reason", is "graduated." However, we have students who are alumni that return for a different degree, so the exit date will be empty in that situation, meaning the list isn't as accurate as might be needed for reports and reunions. I've added tags for each graduation year, so I can run a list of "alumni" and add columns, but in running a report, the tag (graduation year) shows up in individual columns, instead of in one sortable column.

Mark Ackerman Hi Bev,
What about the Alumni list in Admin->Alumni? This list contains all alumni, their granted degree, and the respective graduation date for each granted degree.
Thanks,
Mark

Bev Atwood Mark: Are you kidding me?? This is EXACTLY what I was wanting!
Hooray! How long has this been there? Please let Isaac know it
exists; I had help in the past (as recent as one or two weeks ago)
with creating the list in the data slicer, using the exit date, and
have spent days creating tags for all alumni, and running lists,
comparing exit date lists against alumni (system tag) list with my
new graduation year tags. It has been a tedious means of getting
the list cross checked as I needed, and I'm nearly finished. It was
the missing data of our currently enrolled students who are alumni
but their exit date doesn't exist, omitting all of them from the
list, that made me write the feature request. And Voila! there it
is.Phew!

Mark Ackerman Bev,
That alumni table has been there for longer than I've been working here, so I'm not sure :) Sorry for all the extra work :(
Alternatively, in the data slicer, if you filter based on the Alumni system tag, you should get the same number of results that you get in the Admin->Alumni table. That data slicer result wont have the graduation date for the degree, like the admin->alumni table does, but it's another way to get the same list of people if you want to add additional columns of data. I've attached a screenshot of how to get that.

Patti Ashby That Admin-Alumni would be wonderful if it included the specialization. This would be much more useful if the list included the "major" and not just the fact that the degree was BA or BS or AA.
