It would be great if there was a way to "carbon copy" an email sent from an email application (Mac Mail, Exchange, Entourage, etc) into a student's Activity Feed. Currently, this does occur when emailing a student from the Populi user interface (either from a course or through a student 'record'). The 'filing' of the Populi email in the student's activity feed is very useful in tracking correspondence related to academics / administration, etc., though I use the Populi email interface in less than 5% of all the communication that I do with students, faculty and staff.

Christal Fehr I think this is a slightly different request, so if it's better for me to post a new request, let me know. But, it would be cool to have the ability to carbon copy a student's activity feed when I'm emailing someone about that student, but not actually emailing that student. Typically I just copy and paste that email into the student's activity feed, which works just fine, but having the option of copying the email to the student's activity feed would save a step and would also include that note when searching for just emails in the activity feed.

Ryan Griffith Brandon et. al.,
One additional thought on this piece - could this feature open the door for student 'portfolios' (i.e. a place where students could post significant assignments, examination grades, etc.)? This would be used to demonstrate both student competency and as a way for the institution to do across-the-board assessment (for accreditation audit)?

Ryan Griffith Adam - this looks great, though I haven't figured out how to use it yet. One item of note: the generated email address has @email.populi.CO ---- is this supposed to be .co or .com?
Also - let's take an example: I have created a 'fake' student in Populi - whose account email is one of my 'home' email accounts. I attempted to test this feature by sending him an email (from the email address that is listed in my populi profile) with the populi-generated dropbox address in the BCC, but it did not work.
I also tried forwarding an email to the populi-generated address to see if the email would then show up in my activity feed, but this did not work yet either. (I tried with both @.....co and @.......com.)
Grateful for your work,
Ryan

Adam Sentz @Ryan - It's .CO - we've had populi.co since it became available, but we haven't made the full switch yet (bigger fish to fry). It currently works for our website and email, but you can't yet go to your domain.populi.co
Could you send us more specific details about your tests via a support request so we can check it out?

Brendan O'Donnell Ryan (Christopher?),
The correct address is populi.co (populi.com is owned by a Puerto Rican PR firm that won't let go of the populi.com domain... they're called Populicom, and populi.com just redirects to populicom.com).
