This would provide better advising and awareness when students add or drop courses.
This would also facilitate better tracking of enrollment changes for staff working with Veterans Benefits management. For students in certain "Chapters" categories, we have to notify VA anytime there is a change in the student's hours. This can be very challenging to administer. In our situation we have a small number of VA students and, as Registrar, I can access any student's enrollment at any time. As our institution's enrollment (and VA beneficiaries) increases this could be a huge challenge to monitor.
I have found several links on this topic, but I haven't seen Populi's response. It would be great if we at least had the option of turning on notifications for schedule changes, etc.
This would help the finance office, the registrar's office, the library, and the instructors be on the same page. I have to keep track of attendance for veterans also and it would be helpful to be notified of changes.
