Addition of Boolean search criteria to Library

It would be beneficial for the library element of Populi to include searches that are consistent with the "Boolean Logic". The principle behind Boolean logic allows for customized queries. When searching the use of Boolean operators OR, AND, and NOT will provide you with different, more specific results. This would be a valuable asset especially with some of the accrediting bodies as they require specific protocols for there member libraries. See the screen shots bellow for examples of the present search result and a series Venn's representing basic Boolean logic

  This is a very important feature and would greatly increase the usefulness of the Library search. I find that the lack of good Boolean operators really hinders the usefulness of the search because most searches are too broad.

  I agree with the above statements. The Boolean operators allow for a greater search capacity as currently I find Populi Library good for general searches, but difficult for specific searches. Operators such as quotation marks, truncations, and versions of AND, OR, and NOT, would all provide a much more effective way to search through the catalogue.
