We are planning to use a live chat service for recuitment and would also like to be able to use it for assisting students in registration. We would love to see Populi support 3rd party chat clients so that students can see if there is someone live that they can communicate with when they are navigating Populi. If Populi wanted to create it's own service or partner with a designated provider we would be open to that as well.

George Gunn I would also like to see Populi build in a Live Chat with admissions counselor feature. Leads often have questions after hours when phone contact is not available, but counselors may be on line at home or elsewhere and able to respond via a chat session. Also, some people just prefer live chat to a voice phone call, even during office hours. Perhaps this feature could be built into the admissions application. Prior to starting an application, perhaps a link from the college's website could also access the live chat with an admissions counselor.

Jennifer Ewing That would be very useful for librarians, too. I'd love for students to connect with me outside of a specific course they are enrolled in.

Shannon Buckler I would love this as well! Having a live chat option, maybe like the Facebook Messenger chat integration, would help me as the librarian be in direct contact with all students, online or otherwise.
