Sometimes I need to manually add the financial settings of students but I encounter that the same set of charges are to be applied to several students. A way to select the students I would like to have their finances edited, and then apply the settings once, for it to go to all of them at once, would be a great help.
An option to "add charges to multiple people" would be cool.
Yes, this would be extremely helpful, as we only have one program of study at our school, for which all students are enrolled at the same time. Being able to batch entry the whole student body at once would save us a LOT of time.
This is really really needed for charges that are not prompted by anything in the system.
I would like to push for a solution to this because I am once again am facing entering a set parking charge for a whole list of students. This is one of those charges that is not prompted by anything entered into Populi so I have had to enter the charge for each student manually. The amount being charged per student is the same so I really really really want a way to do it en masse! Please support this feature request!
@Carla: Have you looked at the new Campus Life features? This kind of use case was one of the things we had in view. Each of the reports in that section has an "Apply Fee..." function. You'll need to go through setup before you can do that, but in this case, you can just set up the Parking Ticket fee at this time so you can get that job taken care of. Should only take a couple minutes. If you need more help with that, send us a support request and we'll be happy to walk you through that.
