We've run into trouble now that we've made changes to our degrees. Some of the specializations are no longer available in the 2013-2014 catalogue, but still need to be made available for students that are on the 2012-2013 catalogue. However, the only way to remove a specialization is to retire it, therefore removing it from any degree that is still in effect from past catalogues... argh!
Suggestion from Brendan... if we had a "Retired As Of [Academic Term]" Setting so that we can retire the specialization for some but keep it active for others. That would be marvellous :).
