It would be really helpful to our school to be able to query out data by "Tags." Currently "Tag" is not one of the criteria options in the Data Slicer. I know that you can click on the tag to see the list of people who meet that criteria, but I need to be able to find people that DO NOT have a certain tag - for instance, enrolled students who DO NOT have a registration lock.

Christal Fehr Are you sure? Can you not say "Tag Is Not Registration Lock" and you get your query? Or, perhaps I'm misunderstanding your question. See attached screen shot.

Brendan O'Donnell Thanks Christal! I just saw this question, and you beat me to it with your answer.

Amanda Hoyle Is the "Tag" option new in the Data Slicer? Because, I'm pretty sure I looked for it before and didn't see it. Otherwise, I would not have posted my question as I did.
I'm not complaining! I'm glad it's there, and whoa buddy I am soooo going to be using it. I'm just wondering if it's new or if I missed it before.

Brendan O'Donnell Amanda,
Yes, the Tag option was one of the first things we put in the Data Slicer when we first released it. Don't worry about having missed it—even I, who am paid to notice things in Populi (and write about them for everyone else), sometimes miss things, too.
So, happy tagging!

Amanda Hoyle Just out of curiosity, Brendan, can you please look at my Request Ticket #13993 and the following responses? I posted this Feature Request after receiving the answer to my questions in that ticket.

Brendan O'Donnell Amanda,
Yes, just as I am sometimes wont to miss things, so, too, is Isaac. Populi has, quite literally, thousands of different functions (and combinations of functions) and other options, and try as we might, we sometimes forget that something exists. All that said, this episode has reminded us here to apply ourselves more diligently to answering user questions. Thanks!

Amanda Hoyle Please understand, I wasn't trying to be critical. I was just trying to figure out where I had misunderstood. Thank you for the clarification. And, again, I am *very* happy to be able to use this function! Thank you for your help!

Brendan O'Donnell Amanda,
No worries. The misunderstanding in this episode was ours (and caused by us). I'm glad the Tag function is helping you out!
