I would like to see Populi add an option for students to pay their library fines with credit cards.

Brendan O'Donnell Edward,
That's actually possible in a kinda roundabout way. See this help article under the heading "Library Fines Fee". Basically, you create/add a Library Fine Fee, and then it gets added to a student's account like any other regular charge... which they can then pay for via Credit Card.

Bethany Herrod But this means that you have to add it to each student's account individually correct? Is there now a better way to do this?

Mark Braisher In this day of debit cards, we should be able to do POS for library fines, tuition and fees, and bookstore with a card reader. Bookstore should also allow POS without having to have a inventory. We would like to use this in our Student Center, but the items change regularly, etc.

Donna Harrington I agree completely. We really need students to be able to pay any fee including library fines online.

Rachel Yoder The problem I find with charging the fee to the students account and then having them pay with a credit card is that sometimes they don't take care of the charge and it becomes a hassle to get them to take care of a $5 bill. It would be really helpful if they could take care of their fines right there at the Library.
Our library also has a few different items that they collect money for (fines, book replacements, printing costs, etc.). It would be really great if we could have a POS section in the Library where you could add different items (kind of like the Bookstore functions).
