I recommend the option to input a date next to Pending Transfer credits. After this date, credits will be automatically converted to Accepted. (We could make a secondary variable to auto-reject as well).
The rationale for us is that , often our students enter with the intent to transfer out of some of our second and third year courses. Immediately Accepting these transfer credits will inadvertently promote their class-standing. This suggestion is a way to prevent that outcome.
Also, it is a way for our Incoming Students not to get promoted to Year 1 before the term even begins (e.g. an applicant from Nov 2012 who will start Fall 2013, who has transfer credits we wish to input). We can time-delay their activation.
