Sometimes it is difficult to know what a student sees unless you can get a student to login to the course. For example, discussion posts (by faculty) remain in highlighted form after they are deleted. It would be helpful to see what the discussion board looks like to a student; what they see, and in what order posts appear.
When a teacher posts an assignment or a test, it would be helpful to be able to see what that will look like to a student.
Angel has a feature that allows a user to view a course in a variety of roles - a navigation menu is available to choose roles, as long as those roles are at the same user rights level or lower. This is a very helpful feature.
