If someone re-takes a course within the institution, the new grade automatically replaces the old grade. This is not the case with transfer courses.
I propose that when a transfer course is mapped to a corresponding institutional course by the registrar, that an option be made available to allow any retakes of the new (institutional) mapped course to replace the grade of the transfer course it is mapped to.
Otherwise, the registrar will have to check all transfer work for all current students for every class every semester to make sure re-takes are counted properly.
Thanks!
