Template Organization and Privacy Settings

It is currently difficult to search for templates. We can't even search alphabetically. Each department has many templates and we have to look through a long list . Templates should have privacy settings. It should be optional to share your templates with all staff users. At  least we should have an  alphabetical search bar at the top of the page to make the search easier.

  Roles permissions can now be added to templates. Once roles are added a filter will appear at the top of each template list.

  I agree. Would be nice to have some way to organize templates as our list also continues to grow.

  Has this been addressed? Our email template list is growing as well and can be frustrating to work through all departments. Simply having folder options would be wonderful.

  There's an update coming that will allow you to add role permissions to templates which should cut down the list of templates available to any given user, and allows for filtering by role on the template lists. Not sure when it will be released, but it's on the way.

  Thanks Adam. Will we be able to share with templates with individuals or will it only be by roles?

  Hello Toby, I'm so excited to see the updates that have been made! When I look at the template list I don't see anything different... Am I missing something? When I look at an individual template I now see that you can assign a role so it is only visible to certain people - that's cool. But how do I access the filter feature?

  @Sean - If there are templates with roles assigned you'll see Show templates for followed by a select that defaults to My Roles followed by a list of roles that you have permission to filter by. If there are no templates with roles the filter would be useless so it doesn't show up.

  Unfortunately this will not help us much since most of our templates are attached to communication plans and it doesn't let you edit roles if templates are attached to plans.
