Add the ability to create custom book/material types where each type has different circulation rules: Regular Circulation, Reference, Reserve, Short Reserve, Journal, Magazine, Music, CD-ROM, DVD, Equipment. Inventory Status sub-types such as Available, Preparation, Repair, Lost, and On-Order that could be requested and given a circulation status of Hold-Pending would also be helpful. Apparently Populi can create new resource types for users and loan policies can be setup that are specific to those resources types but implementing custom statuses needs a feature request. .

Sarah Cavanagh I would like to see "ON ORDER" added to the copy status options. Currently, I have to mark an item that we have on order as NOT AVAILABLE and use Location (On Order) to reflect that something is being acquired. But it's hard for the patron to see that without scrolling down to the Location field. It would be much better if it would just say "Status - ON ORDER" right at the top.
