Add the capability for Library Workers and Administrators to set custom due dates to accommodate special situations such as borrowing books over the Christmas break or taking a book on a Missions trip, typically for time periods that are longer than the standard borrowing period.

Bette Bissonnette Would also appreciate the ability to enter custom due dates.

Sarah Cavanagh We have similar situations in our library where students need extended due dates. A custom due date option would be very useful.

Sarah Cavanagh Again, I'm wondering if Populi could create an option for a custom due date (or the ability to override a due date). Specifically, we have graduate students who are permitted to check out material for an extended period as an academic treatise loan (one full semester). If we can't get a custom due date, perhaps Populi can create a new user type such as “grad student” or “researcher” or “treatise student” who could have a different loan policy assigned.

Michael Radojevic This would be very useful to us. Currently we are using library locations with different loan policies applied to them to kludge a solution together; we have a location for 1 day loans, 1 week loans, and so on that we need to juggle resource copies between. It would be much simpler if there was a default loan length that could be changed during checkout.

Noël Maxwell Yes, this is a feature that would help tremendously for our students.
