As an instructor, at times you will have a student that wants to discuss their grades either in your office or after class. Even though they have access to it online, they want to discuss their progress with you privately and in person. My suggestion is to allow the instructor to pull up their current grade(s) without them being able to view the other students grade that is in the same class. Students who are struggling do not want others to know. It can have a negative affect by adding more undue stress and decrease their self confidence.
