It would be helpful to be able to run an attendance report within a term. For instance, run a report for how many students in a particular program have absences in Fall 2012.
This would be very helpful because now we have to go to each student's profile which is exceedingly time consuming.
Agreed - We would like to be able to quickly run a MORE DETAILED query in the academics panel to see if a student has missed more than 2 (for example) for any one class. This is important for us in terms of reporting to Government funding agencies. If a student misses more than X number of classes, their funding could be revoked and if we do not catch it, this can shine badly on a College.
With hundreds of students, there is currently no easy way to see (weekly) if any student is approaching their maximum number of allowable absences.

Have you tried the term attendance report? It is available in academics->academic term->attendance. You can filter it by absences by clicking "filter" at the top. You can also download the enrollment xls for detailed attendance by student. It is available in academics->academic term->students table->export->Enrollment XLS. Finally there is the academic progress report in financial->financial aid->reporting->academic progress. If you have any questions, please feel free to open a support request!
I would add that i would like to go to a particular student and get an attendance report for that student for ALL the term's courses. if it is elsewhere, then duplicate that information on a student's individual page, either as a tab or under student (?).
