Toby Robinson Hi Mary,
Can you be more specific? We do have additional search functionality beyond title and author. You can see them here:

Mary Jordan Not really useful. I am not trying to be mean, but it really is not convenient. How many people really going to read all that? You should have advanced search similar to the one in the below video. It does be as detailed but with click boxes for title, author, keyword, and subject. Think about users who have have never used Boolean operators. I was just giving a suggestion.

Mary Jordan *It does not have to be as detailed as the one in the video but...

Toby Robinson Mary,
So to clarify this feature request isn't for an "advanced search" but buttons for operator and keyword searches? Just need to make sure the feature request is clear.

Adam Sentz @Mary - Have you tried Browse Resources? It has filters similar to what you are describing. Granted it's not available to all patrons right now, but there is a feature request for that already https://support.populiweb.com/entries/20428793-Add-Browse-Resources-tab-for-regular-Library-patrons-and-public-catalog
We added advanced search operators because a lot of customers asked for it and we think it's a great way to make search a lot more powerful for those that want to use it. Most of the time a patron should be able to find what they are looking for by just typing in the search box; the operators are just there for "power users".
I'm going to close this as a dupe of the previously linked request since the requested functionality is pretty similar.
