Would it be possible to give students the options of choose the degree they want to pursue up to a certain point. For example, allow Freshmen to declare their degree by the end of the first year. Then afterwards, degrees are locked and can only be changed manually by the registrar or advisor.
The reason for this request is that our first year students take a generic set of courses and at the end of the year, they choose which degree they wish to pursue. Currently, we have all the students submit a form with the degree. Manually processing/updating this for each student is a time consuming process and also open room for error which then affect the degree audits so it'll be great if the initial selection of degree can be done by students.
