Students can submit a form to make their directory information confidential. A confidential field would be helpful to include on the student table and various reports. Within Populi, a confidential flag/icon above the student's name would also be helpful.

Adam Sentz Under Settings (gear icon at the top right) any student can opt out via the "Make my profile private" setting. This setting exists to help schools comply with the FERPA directory opt-out requirement.

Sue Lamphere Where can an admin make a profile private? We routinely make the profiles of auditors and cross-registrants private.

Professor Plum Even if a student marks their profile private, faculty can see their private information. Is there a way to tighten this up so that only registrar access or academic admin access can see private contact information?

M. Jean Bland I need a way to put a banner on a student if their profile private. I have foreign students it could possibly be a matter of life and death.

Adam Sentz @Jeanie - There isn't a banner, but if a profile is private there will be a lock icon by the person's name.

M. Jean Bland My fear is that is a very subtle icon. Thank you.
