I see that you're able to share a file with a group by making the file visible to users with a particular role. For example, if you want to share a file with students, you can make that file visible to all users with the Student role. But what if you want to share a file with a particular subset of students, say, all students that started in a particular term, and not all students in general? Since we can organize users by creating tags, it would be really useful if we could also share a file with a particular tag group. Thanks for considering!

Vahe Petrossian This is a highly desired feature that seems to keep coming up for us at our institution. Recently we needed to send out notices to different groups of students and the only way possible was to manually share the file to each student one by one. In the past we would email to a distribution list, however, we really want to use Populi more and more. There are several benefits to sharing the file in Populi vs email 1) we know the student will receive the file and not have it go to spam 2) files are in a central location 3) files sent are secure
We would alternatively be able to share with groups if something like this in the API was implemented: https://support.populiweb.com/entries/91494647-API-UploadFile-to-Student-Inbox
