There are a few things that would help us out a great deal with Donations. Some of these have only come to light as we do some year-end stuff.
Filtering: the ability to filter based on the Fund.
Reporting: some kind of ability to run more complex reports -- Two specific examples:
- we ran a scholarship fund cohort challenge, but there is no way to see how each cohort (by tag, essentially) did within Populi.
- we issue reports for giving participation percentage, we still have to calculate manually how many alumni, faculty, staff, etc. gave as a percentage of whole.
Export: We could do some, if not all, of that reporting through some relatively simple SQL queries. However, exporting donations does not provide a way to match the donor to a populi person for each transaction. Only the plain text name is given, but slight differences in Credit Card name and the way names are stored in an individual's record in Populi make automated matching on our end impossible. For transactions that are matched to a donor/Person record, exporting that ID would help tremendously!
