Ability to register for multiple sections of same course

We really want to be able to use Populi for online registration of clinical courses.  We offer a clinical course multiple times a week so each meeting time is set as a separate section.  We require students to complete X number of rotations of a clinic type (ex: 3 rotations of Pediatrics, 2 rotations of internal medicine, etc.) per semester.  With the current set up, students would not be able to register for multiple rotations of a clinic type since registering for one section immediately blocks them from other sections of the same clinic type.

It'll be really helpful if there is an option, set on a per course basis, that allow us to indicate whether students can register for multiple sections of a course.

  We also need the ability to for student to self-register for multiple sections of a course in the same term.

  The current system HIDES the other course section when one section is registered. But our students need to add a 2nd or 3rd section and maybe even a 4th section if they wish to take a heavier course load.

  This actually happens for 3 different course catalogs.

  Our example is where we have 17 sections of our course and the students can elect to take 1-4 sections based on their course load for the term (in additional to other courses). My understanding is that the Academic staff can add students to the roster independently but that's a lot of work for the staff when you have 70+ interns for these clinical courses.

  And then this occurs again with a didactic course where there are multiple courses and 200+ students that need 2+ sections of that specific didactic course.

  The clinical courses that I posted previous is about 30% of the total program hours. This is a huge issue.

  This would be very helpful - we offer half-term practicum courses and allow students to register for two half-term sections of the same course.  We'd like them to be able to register themselves.
