We are just starting to offer online classes, and would like to be able to have live video of lectures for students.

Adam Sentz @Vicki - This is a cool idea, and definitely something we've thought about. For now, a lot of folks record their lectures live and make the videos available online in Populi courses. Not exactly the same thing, but maybe that would work for you in some cases.

I think it would be great if Populi Developers could consider this idea of having live video conferencing with students. Maybe adding it with the Chat feature.

Paula Woodson I agree with Raul,,, I also need live stream audio or video for online student or at least a page I can link the live stream into my Populi site,,,so student can stay on my site
Raul,,,I presently use ,,,Sundaystream.com. Service , very efficient and economical ,,,and you can archive the videos,, student , u need set a page on your school website and password protect it, student chat section to ask question during lecture
otherwise,,,u go need a LMS,,,,like WizIq etc

Adam Sentz We just added and integration with BigBlueButton live. We don't have docs up yet, but you can get a hosted version of BigBlueButton from Blindside Networks, plug the API credentials into Account > Integrations, and you're off to the races.

Kimberly Burnett-Hackbarth Given the nature of our global situation, we are full speed ahead to live video/audio stream into courses. What do you recommend in 2020, given the BigBlueButton suggestion was two years ago. Thank you for your recommendation.

Adam Sentz Kimberly Burnett-Hackbarth - BigBlueButton is still an option, and we are going to be releasing Zoom as an option for Conferences in Populi courses very soon. Zoom seems to be the most popular platform these days, and has been the most requested. There's a request for that specifically here if you want to follow for updates.

Adam Sentz Google is offering Advanced Hangouts (250 participants) for free through July. There isn't anything to integrate into Populi, but you could share a link to the Hangout in your Populi course.
