Faculty should be able to see basic academic data for students

Faculty can't see even basic academic data for a student, like program, or degree, or expected graduation date. They also can't see anything for alumni (for example, to write a recommendation letter). Faculty should have the ability to see basic data for students and alumni without having to specifically assign all of our faculty as advisors to every student.
