I would like to have my student be able to submit a journal that I can grade and respond to them that is not open to the rest of the class. Only the professors, teaching assistant and the student. Would like for it to work just like the forms but would like for them to be a more private discussion and we discuss spiritual growth and issues with the students. Thanks

Adam Sentz @Timothy - Perhaps you could use the File type assignment type and have the students just submit their text via the student assignment page. You'd be able to give them feedback and a grade without it being open to other students.
