It would be fantastic to be able to know if I have submitted an assignment by looking at the overall assignments page. It would entail having a column that said "Submitted" which could then have a greyed out dot or a green dot indicating submission. This prevents the need to click on each individual assignment to go see if I uploaded the file or made the post...etc... I've attached a concept photo to show what I am thinking.
