We've noticed that when a student registers to AUDIT a course, instead of getting something like "AUD IP" on their transcripts, it shows as "AUD". As it stands, this notification does not change once the course has been completed. It's like giving a student a default "A" on the transcript even though the course has not finished. If the student does not meet the attendance requirements, they would still get a NC for the course, so there should be something to indicate the course is currently in progress.
My recommendation is that when a student registers to audit a course, their transcript should indicate "AUD IP". This would indicate it's in progress but would differentiate it from the regular in progress courses which are indicated by an "IP". Once the course has been successfully completed the transcript could indicate "AUD" as the final grade.
