1. We would like a more specific breakdown of the financial need/family contribution required, similar to the financial award system, i.e. family contribution divided into sub-categories, such as registration deposit, parent portion of tuition (which includes additional sub-categories: tuition, PEAK credit, & early payment discounts), outside parent loan, student portion of tuition (which includes additional sub-categories: tuition, work force, & work study), outside student loan, outside student scholarships.
2. With these sub-categories, we would like the ability to have a student, parent, or other source pay against that specific category, e.g. student pays against his/her portion due or against his/her work study. Then we/theycould see exactly which party is responsible for the money outstanding, not just from "the family", as well as the detail of payments.
3. With student or parent loans awarded, we would like the ability to receive, record, and amortize loan payments (parent & student). This would entail an amortization schedule for each loan for which we are receiving payments, current status (i.e. if loan is in deferment) plus dates, along with the ability to override the amortization schedule for cases where deferment is granted.
4. We would like a separate area for each student (not related to tuition costs or financial aid) in which we could bill specific invoices, such as library fines, special trips, other fines (along with the ability to pay against them), so that one could at a glance see tuition cost breakdown, financial aid & payments expected & received, & separate other invoices, without having to unravel billing charges and payments, payment history.
5. Finally, we would then like reports and sub-reports with the totals and details for each class level (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) per term and per school year for any specific financial aid award or payment expected (student tuition, parent tuition, loans, etc.), as well as a combined report.
Thanks!
